Book Review on DARKFEVER By Karen Marie Moning

I was recommended this book by my future sister in law. She is one of the few people I know that really enjoys reading and after an afternoon of brunch and wine, she suggested that I read the book. Knowing that I love series, I decided to get the whole series however I am only going to be reviewing on the first book.

The book starts off with a twenty two year old named MacKayla “Mac” Lane. She is your typical pretty twenty two year old enjoying soaking up the sun and hanging by the pool by herself. Her parents are off on their trip celebrating their thirtieth wedding anniversary and her sister Alina is studying abroad.

Mac finds out that her sister Alina was murdered and she heads to Dublin, Ireland. With nothing but the last voicemails from her sister and the police refusing to reopen the case, Mac is left answerless to all the questions hanging in the air. Going there Mac finds some things about her sister that makes her conclude she didn’t really know her sister at all.

In Dublin Mac meets Jericho Barrons. He is the owner of Barrons Books and Baubles. He is a distinguished looking gentlemen. That worldly handsome. Mac asks questions about a book that Alina had mentioned and there starts the strange relationship between Mac and Barrons.

We are taken into the world of Fae, a world quite dangerous to man. I was very intrigued with the story line, the progress of the story as well as the weird relationship between Mac and Barrons. I really enjoyed this book and I was very happy that this was recommended to me. I am sure you all will enjoy it to. I give this book five stars.

Until next time wenches, barkeeps, readers, writers and bloggers

Kay 🙂
