Synopsis:

2015 Golden Heart® Finalist

“Chasing Crazy is an entertaining and compelling story about owning who you are. With an endearingly awkward female protagonist, a swoon-worthy male love interest, and Siskind’s superb storytelling, this is one of the best New Adult contemporary romances I’ve read to date.” ~ USA Today Bestselling author, K.A. Tucker
Dear Mom & Dad, I dropped out of school. I’m going backpacking. Sorry. Love you both.
At nineteen, Nina has endured two lifetime’s worth of humiliation. Tired of waiting for it to get better, she decides to get going—across the globe to New Zealand. There she faces what she fears most: a super sexy guy ready to be Nina’s next mistake.
Once Sam’s life was all about having fun. That was before the accident. Now his friends have bailed and his world has tipped sideways. But when a gorgeous girl on his flight looks at him with passion instead of pity, Sam feels his old self resurfacing.
Now traveling together, Nina and Sam fall fast, hard, and deep. More than anything, Sam wants Nina to forget her fears. But to help her do that he must reveal his own painful secret—and risk Nina never seeing him the same way again.
Review:
This book has probably one of my favorite first chapters of all time. I laughed, yes, but I also felt bad for poor Nina. The girl just cannot catch a break. Which is why she’s hoping to reinvent herself in New Zealand. After an embarrassing video of her goes viral, Nina picks a place off the departures board randomly at the airport and hops on a plane. Unfortunately, she’s too busy staring at a guy she nicknames Frickin Hot Guy (who she’d later learn is actually named Sam) to go to the bathroom before the ridiculously long flight. Things just get funnier and more humiliating from there and, unfortunately for Nina, Sam is on the plane to witness all of it.
The story continues, and Nina and Sam end up in the same hostel, and eventually choose to travel together. As they get to know one another, we get to know them, too. They are sweet, and they both have things they’re trying to escape in New Zealand.
I had a smile plastered on my face pretty much the entire time I read this book. It’s funny, romantic, and it’s absolutely HOT (tent scene, anyone?)
I recommend this book for someone who wants to read a fun and funny NA about learning to live with your own crazy that has a fresh voice and will definitely make them re-think their bathroom plans before any future flights.
