I had to pleasure of reading three books from three fabulous wenches who all had books coming out. I decided what better way to help celebrate such a wonderful milestone in their lives and careers than by writing reviews for all three. So I will start with the book I read first. Fuel, By Ashlynn Pearce.
Fuel is about a fresh eager eyed twenty one year old named Cassie who wants to get out of her narrow minded town. She gets stuck in Nashville on her way to New York where she runs into a blast from the past named Thrand.
Fuel was raw and young and fresh and I loved the dynamics between Cassie and Thrand. I think Ashlynn Pearce captured perfectly the romance of a couple in their twenties as well as keep it interesting to the very last page. I finished the book so fast and I was quite ready for the next book in The DirtSlap Series.
If you are looking to be entertained from the first line to the last I recommend you purchase this book and be prepared to want book two. I give this book five stars.
Next, I was honored to read “No Turning Back” By Lauren Greene. I was blown away by the words coming off the page as this is Lauren’s first novel. This book was about a woman named Kaia who seems to have the perfect life. A perfect job, two perfect kids and a handsome husband. Her past comes calling back when she has to work with a former love. His name is Asher.
I loved the journey Kaia took in the book. I watched her make mistakes, learn from them and grow. I loved the realism of her character as she found herself finally.
I give this book four stars and I suggest you add it to you TBR list.
Finally I read “Jump, Jive, and Wail” By Kathryn R. Biel. I was introduced to Kaitlin Reynolds. She used to be a ski jumper. She is still trying to put her life back together after an injury. She meets Declan McLoughlin. He is an Olympic figure skater. I loved how Declan was able to help Kaitlin realize she could live again and be happy. I was able to go through the emotions Kaitlin went through thus making her more relatable to me. This was a great story and I give it five stars.
